I have replaced my carburetor, installed new air and fuel filters drained the fuel tank and replaced with new fuel all to no avail. My Gator will start (throttle start) but when I press the gas pedal to go, it stalls. Choke and throttle linkage work fine and Gator will kind of run if I feather the choke in and out. Please advise

It sounds like you've already done some thorough troubleshooting on your Gator, but there are a few more things you can check to try and resolve the stalling issue:

Check the Fuel Lines: Ensure that the fuel lines are properly connected and free from any obstructions. Sometimes, a blockage or kink in the fuel line can restrict fuel flow and cause stalling.

Inspect the Carburetor Settings: Even though you've replaced the carburetor, double-check that the carburetor settings are correct. This includes the idle speed, mixture settings, and choke operation. Improper carburetor adjustments can lead to stalling issues.

Clean or Replace the Spark Plug: A fouled or worn spark plug can cause poor engine performance and stalling. Remove the spark plug and inspect it for signs of fouling, such as black deposits. Clean or replace the spark plug as necessary.

Check for Vacuum Leaks: Vacuum leaks can disrupt the air-fuel mixture and cause stalling. Inspect the intake manifold and carburetor mounting gaskets for any signs of leaks. You can also use a can of carburetor cleaner to spray around these areas while the engine is idling. If there's a leak, the engine RPM will change when you spray cleaner near the leak point.

Inspect the Ignition System: Ensure that the ignition system components, such as the ignition coil, spark plug wires, and ignition module, are in good condition. Faulty ignition components can cause intermittent stalling issues.

Check the Engine Compression: Low compression can cause poor engine performance and stalling. Perform a compression test to check the compression levels in each cylinder. If compression is low, it may indicate worn piston rings or cylinder head gasket issues.

Inspect the Throttle Linkage and Governor: Make sure that the throttle linkage and governor are functioning correctly. A sticking throttle or governor can cause erratic engine behavior and stalling.

If you've checked all of the above and the problem persists, it may be helpful to consult with a mechanic or technician who specializes in small engines. They can perform a more in-depth diagnosis and identify any underlying issues that may be causing the stalling problem with your Gator.

Thanks for your input. I have tried all your suggestions including taking it to the dealer. They have had it for three weeks now without a response or answer. Either they are stumped also or the have a backlog of service before getting to mine. ....
