Put a half-gallon in, run 10 seconds, let sit a minute, check dipstick.

 1500D Oil change # of quarts ?

For him I meant a US one, but I doubt half an imperial would overfill (it's easier to add than to drain). Or he could measure how much drains out. Or suggest the owner get a manual. Or wait for a 1500 owner to answer.

Drained a gallon, that is 4 US quarts replaced with gallon...will start up and run when I get the battery charged. Thanks again

 1500D Oil change # of quarts ?

Oh by the way couldnt be sure that the oil filler cap was up front on the right side so I took the inspection plate of the valve cover and poored the oil in there. Can you tell me where the cap is for crankcase oil?

The only screw filler cap on the engine is for oil.
