I really like my X595 a lot. My question is: I want to cut with a rotary cutter (bush hog) and was thinking of having a 3pt hitch and power take off added to the tractor. The cost for the rear eand is about $1,200 plus a cutter. I would thinka 4' would be ok. Has anyone had experience with the rear pto and or with a cutter?

I think the video points out precisely what the problem isn't---power---but what is---tractor size (wheelbase, wheel/tire size, etc). Just imagine a 4' rotary cutter on the rear of this tractor. So Sad

Your Deere X is about the same size, weight and HP as a BX (Kubota).

Once you get it set up it should be able to use the same size implements.

When I bought my BX 5 years ago, there were almost no properly sized implements. Now the market is filled with good stuff and in the right size.

Go to "rankineqco.com". On the sidebar click on "turf/landscape" and then click on "rotary cutters". Now click on "Regular duty series" and you will find a 40 inch unit that should work well on your sub-compact machine.
