It holds a little but not real good. Gator is also kind of hard to push,I can hear a moaning type of squeak in the right rear wheel when trying to push it. Seems like the brake maybe dragging. There is an adjustment on the emergency brake and it is a disc set up in the right rear. It has probably been on and has worn the pad out. The old one was so worn out I just lifted it off the pulley's. The parking brake pads are worn pretty good.
